Markinch Community Council is one of over 1000 Community Councils established as the most local tier of statutory representation in Scotland. We are a non public body, composed of elected volunteers from within the community. Our primary purpose is to ascertain and express your views to the local authority and other public bodies on a wide range of issues which affect the community.

CAR PARKING at MARKINCH SUMMER FAYRE - 31 July 2016, 12.00pm to 4.00pm
If you are travelling by car to the Fayre, parking at a cost of £1 is available in John Dixon Park. Entry to the car parking area is via the Bowling Green Road entrance as indicated on the map. We have allocated a number of disabled spaces as close as possible to the Fayre main areas. Stewards will be on hand to direct cars in and out of the car park. Additional limited car parking is available in the public car park in Betson Street. Should the parking in John Dixon reach full capacity, you will be directed to overflow facilities in Balbirnie Park and parking is also available at Markinch Rail Station. We would ask anyone travelling to the Fayre by car to consider local residents and make use of the car parking facilities available rather than using on street parking in residential areas.
